Election to Alpha Omega Alpha is an honor representing a lasting commitment to professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research, and community service. Membership is a lifelong honor that confers recognition for a physician’s dedication to the profession and art of healing.
Criteria for Selection
The School of Medicine furnishes a list of eligible 4th-year medical students to our AΩA chapter, usually in the mid-late summer months. These students are then asked to submit a one-page summary of their accomplishments in the following areas: Research, Service and Leadership. The election meeting is held in August and students are notified via email.
